Sahnggi Park received his Ph.D. in Optical Physics from the University of Arizona, U.S., in December 1999. From January 2000 to February 2001, he worked as a senior research engineer at Samsung Electronics Co., LTD. Since March 2001, he has been with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), a government-funded research organization in South Korea, where he has served as a senior research engineer. His research has focused on silicon photonics and optical communication devices.
